About Bennett Long

Bennett Long is a native and life-long resident of Mobile, Alabama. He has been handling property insurance claims since 2005 when his family was personally affected by Hurricane Ivan. Ivan severely damaged homes and businesses along the Alabama coastline. Among the devastation from Ivan, Mr. Long’s family experienced catastrophic damage to their large marina and restaurants in Orange Beach, Alabama. Mr. Long experienced firsthand the frustration of dealing with the insurance claims process and underpayment tactics of the insurance companies. After successfully resolving his family’s claim, Mr. Long began to focus his practice on representing property owners that experienced damage from natural and man-made disasters. By word of mouth, Mr. Long’s reputation as an advocate for policyholders spread, and within his first five years of practice, Mr. Long had successfully represented thousands of policyholders in property insurance claims.Since then, Mr. Long has focused his practice on representing policy holders in first-party property insurance claims resulting from catastrophic events such as fires, tornadoes, wind, hail storms, flood, water damage, theft, and man-made disasters. His clients include residential homeowners, business owners, homeowners and condominium associations, large commercial properties, and industrial property owners. Mr. Long has represented clients in every major Gulf Coast storm since Hurricane Ivan.Mr. Long has dedicated his law practice to helping victims of property damage navigate through the insurance claim process. From the first case he took on out of law school, he has seen the unleveled playing field work against policyholders too many times and in too many ways to count. Mr. Long works tirelessly to right the imbalance that wreaks financial havoc on the victims of catastrophic events. To date, Mr. Long and his partners have successfully resolved over 11,500 property loss claims resulting from man-made and natural disasters. Mr. Long graduated with distinction from the University of Alabama in 2001. He graduated cum laude from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2005, where he served as member and Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He is licensed by the Alabama State Bar, U.S. District Court, Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, and is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association, Alabama Association for Justice and the Alabama State Bar Association.Outside of work, Mr. Long is an avid hunter, fisherman and conservationist. Mr. Long and his wife have three young children.
