About Benoit Leclercq

Benoit has an experience of more than twenty years in the automotive industry across the globe first as an external auditor with EY for twelve years before moving to corporate roles from 2011 as a finance director and as an internal controller at Valeo and Mahle. Benoit’s working experience extends to three continents including Europe, North America and Asia with a more specific focus on Japan, South Korea, ASEAN countries and India in the last few years. As a finance director and executive committee member, Benoit’s role has mostly consisted of providing support and a valuable insight to operational networks in quotations, investments decisions and action plans, helping general management to monitor daily performance and managing controlling teams in each country. When at Valeo Benoit had also the chance to be in charge on the integration of a couple of recently acquired Japanese companies (Niles and Ichikoh) for such aspects as reporting, controlling, internal control and tax. Upon working with EY, Benoit developped a good understanding of other industries including pharmaceuticals, luxury goods, manufacturing, shipping and services while building a robust knowledge in accounting, tax and internal control. Through all his career, Benoit has been used to work under pressure and within short deadlines, to interact with persons from different networks in a highly international environment and to promote result-driven communication with the objective to improve performance. Benoit has a double education background as he studied political sciences before graduating from ESCP Business School.
