About Benson Botha

Benson Botha is Public Health professional with vast experience in managing health programs. He holds Masters in Public Health, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Diploma in Public Health from University of Malawi. He has expertise in project management, grants management, Monitoring and evaluation, financial and budget management, capacity building of local organization, resource mobilization and human resource management. He has worked in both local and International NGOs in Malawi. Before joining Evidence Action, he was working with Malawi AIDS Counseling and Resource Organization (MACRO), a local NGO, as Director of Programs where he was responsible for managing all MACRO programs and projects. He has worked in a number of senior leadership positions in various organizations in Malawi which include National AIDS Commission (NAC), Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM), Project Hope International, Health Foundation Consortium and Mzuzu City Council. He has successfully managed a number of grants and project which includes CDC, USAID, Global Fund, Tear fund supported grants. He is currently the Country Director for Evidence Action Malawi.
