I possess demonstrable A.I and Python programming skillset. I write excellent ( and readable) pythonic code for both scientific use cases, as well as for general purpose software development. Moreover, I have formal training in advanced-level A.I. research and development, as well as on practical machine learning engineering (using Pytorch, Tensorflow and the Python ecosystem of libraries). In particular, I have worked on projects that apply state-of-the-art A.I (computer vision) techniques to analyze terabyte-scale high-resolution underwater images/videos for various purposes. Examples include improving the visibility of color degraded underwater images, mapping the distribution of deep-seabed habitats, monitoring the ecological impacts of deep-sea mining, and automated detection of megafaunal species in deep sea community ecology use cases. Finally, I am a early career research scientist with skills in problem/hypothesis formulation, experimental data collection, multivariate statistical/geospatial analysis, scientific writing/communication and eventual publication in peer-reviewed journals.
