About Berke Erkan

I graduated from Antalya Bilim University Mechanical Engineering (100% English) with 2nd place in 2022. I started my career at the age of 18 in the piping department of Ares shipyard in Antalya Free Zone. In this process, I did the welding and assembly of the fuel systems of coast guard yachts and boats longer than 30 meters. During my undergraduate period, I did research on predictive maintenance applications in Computed Tomography devices, shaft, gear, bearing, gearbox designs, static and dynamic analyzes of the M1 Abrams tank with a 1500 hp turbine engine, and examining renewable solar energy systems used in high-rise buildings from the perspective of heat transfer. I had the opportunity to organize social activities inside and outside the school with the presidency of Antalya Bilim University Mechanical Engineers Society, in 2020. I continued to work at Ares shipyard during the summer months until my 3rd year of university. I spent my second working experience in the warehouse department by learning the equipment and mechanical components of ships, yachts and boats. My last work experience in Ares Shipyard, in the summer of 2019, I was involved in the flow analysis, joining, assembly and installation of PPR, HDP-E, Chrome CuNiFe pipes in the piping department. At Pakmetal company, which was my first internship place, I gained experience in machines that produce with more than 15 chipless manufacturing methods. With ST37, ST42, ST44 and ST52 structural steel products, I gained experience in press brake bending, guillotine, laser and plasma cutting of chrome and hardox sheets. I finished my internship by making static and dynamic analyzes of Hardox Forklift fork in ANSYS program. In 2021, within the scope of Talent Pick-Up Project internship, I made the predictive maintenance applications of more than 100 electric motors and the installation and heat transfer calculations of the Heat Pumps to be integrated into 3 water boilers of 12 MW at Anadolu Isuzu company, a subsidiary of Anadolu Group in Kocaeli. Today, Now, I am Outfittin Engineer of Machinery Departmant of Damen Shipyard, based in the Netherlands, in Antalya.
