About Bernadette Boscacci

My professional career has included working as an Artist, Printmaker, Community Cultural Development Worker / Arts facilitator and Curator since 1995, and as an Art Therapist and Project Manager since 2005. Through this work I have gained the understanding and knowledge required to successfully and creatively work with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds. These have included Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous children, youth and adults, Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation clients, migrants and humanitarian entrants, aged people in care (specifically dementia patients), homeless (and at-risk of being homeless) youth, young people with disabilities and / or mental illness, cultural and educational institutions and other arts-focussed community groups. Specialties: My professional framework is based on the principles of community development, environmentalism and social justice. I draw on my extensive visual arts experience (using a range of different mediums and artistic processes) to achieve meaningful and quality outcomes in collaboration with others, while adhering to set time-frames and budgets.
