Als project-/programmamanager/adviseur ondersteun ik overheden, bedrijven en NGO's bij initiatieven op gebied van: 1) Watermanagement: rivieren, meren, wetlands en kustbescherming 2) Biodiversiteit, ecosysteemdiensten en natuurlijk kapitaal 3) Duurzaamheid In geval van multidisciplinaire projecten werk ik samen met Royal HaskoningDHV of andere zelfstandige professionals. Ik besef dat de natuur economische en sociale waarde heeft voor ons dagelijks leven. Eten en drinken, grondstoffen voor producten, CO2-opslag, bescherming tegen rampen, recreatie en ontspanning in de natuur: dit alles hangt af van goed functionerende ecosystemen. Gezonde ecosystemen zijn vooral belangrijk voor het levensonderhoud en het welzijn van de plaatselijke bevolking. Voor mij is dit een belangrijke mindset en drijfveer in mijn werk op het gebied van water, natuur en duurzaamheid. As project/program manager/consultant I support governments, companies and NGOs on the following topics: 1) Water Management: rivers, lakes, wetlands and coastal protection 2) Biodiversity, ecosystem services and natural capital 3) Sustainability In case of multidisciplinary projects I work with Royal HaskoningDHV or other independent professionals. I realize that nature has economic and social value to our daily life. Food and drinks, raw materials for products, carbon capture, protection to disasters, recreation and relaxation in nature: this all depends on well functioning ecosystems. Healthy ecosystems are particularly important for the livelihoods and well‐being of local communities. To me this is an important mindset and driver in my work on water, nature and sustainability.
