About Bernadette Johnstone

Bernadette is a seasoned professional with expertise in focused, effective human resource business solutions including core human resources delivery, talent attraction & engagement and targeted search in the Australasian region. She has recently rejoined the WACHS HR team providing consulting services to Bunbury Regional Hospital. This followed her transition to a casual project role at Bunbury St John of God Hospital after three and a half years as the Senior HR Business Partner supporting managers look after the needs of 600+ staff on site. Her career includes over ten years based in the Asia Pacific region working with executive search firms Korn/Ferry and BlaneyMundy where she focused on functional positions including general management and sales roles. During her time in Asia she also provided career guidance services to the MBA students in the Hong Kong campus of the Australian Graduate School of Management. Her in-house experience has been with international companies such as BHP Billiton and Glencore International where she held responsibility for sourcing and streamlining recruitment operations. Since residing in Australia she has expanded her responsibilities to encompass more operational Human Resources projects around business effectiveness and HRIMS including Applicant Tracking Systems. In her spare time she fosters dogs from BARRC and supports her local community FRINGE Festival and Urban Gardening groups.
