PROFILE & CONTACT A documentary professional, cinematographer, and researcher with Austrian routes and Italian background, Bernadette Weber is active in the field of European documentary film, mainly as a director,(editorial) producer, and/or project developer between Austria, Italy and Spain. Bernadette majored in Cinematography at ZeLIG School for Documentary, holds a master’s degree in philosophy and is a PhD candidate in humanities – ethics and political philosophy. In her career Bernadette (they/she) has worked as an editor, producer, camera operator and video journalist in a variety of fields/genres. She further is one of the founders of LAND in Liguria (IT) and was a coordinator for Talents Nest at Vilnius International Film Festival (LT) and Industry Coordinator of the Coproduction Forum of European Short Pitch (FR). She is an alumnus of ESoDoc – European Social Documentary. In 2023 she founded Visioni e.U, a company specialising particularly in documentary film, providing production services, support, and theoretical research. Her documentary works include “The Red House” (Feature Documentary, 2021), “Exiles” (Feature Documentary, 2018), “The others and us” (Participatory Documentary, 2016) and “Moon Europa” (Feature Documentary, 2016). Most recently she has been developing projects with Albolina Film (IT), Plan C Filmproduktion (AT), Abisso Studio (IT) and donhofer.(AT).
