Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Management Ltd (SRILIM) is an asset manager for collective investment schemes licensed and regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. SRILIM's purpose is to provide asset management services in connection with Insurance-Linked Strategies and to offer collective investment schemes. Currently, SRILIM acts as an asset manager for a standalone fund company, 1863 Fund Ltd, which offers institutional and designated professional investors an efficient access to Swiss Re's core natural catastrophe business. Bernard Bachmann is the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Risk Officer at Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Management Ltd. Bernard Bachmann has been with Swiss Re since 2010 working for Swiss Re Group Asset Management ultimately as Head of Investment Manager Oversight responsible for the oversight of Swiss Re's external investment manager platform. Previously Bernard Bachmann worked as Head of Operational Due Diligence at Man Investments where he gained extensive knowledge and experience in banking, investment administration and fund management. Prior to joining Man Investments in 2004 he worked for KPMG Financial Services as a financial and banking regulatory auditor with key clients, such as Credit Suisse First Boston, Jefferies and GE Capital. Bernard Bachmann holds a MSc in Business Administration from the University of Zürich. He is a CFA and a CAIA charter holder, as well as a Swiss certified public accountant (CPA).
