Solving Business Problems while Managing Business Risks I have over 20 years of experience solving business problems, in various roles of senior management, business consultancy, and project management. I am always looking for ways to improve services that are offered and how they can be effectively delivered to best meet customer needs. I focus on fulfilling customer requirements, instead of specific products or services. Because of this, my customer relationships extend beyond the initial project. Within the Americas region, I am the subject matter expert on modular data center solutions. I have developed cloud ready, quick deploy data center strategies that allow service providers to enter new geographical markets both quickly and with relatively low capital investment. I advise on how to expand or update existing operations with both efficient use of capital and operating costs, while still providing the flexibility and agility to meet future changes in their marketplace. As part of my data center strategy “Trusted Advisor” role, I work with enterprise customer’s executive sponsor to prepare their feasibility and economic studies; decision and financial modeling; and build their business cases for new construction or migration to an outsourced service model. If they decide to build their own, I may oversee design, contractor and equipment sourcing, and overall project management during build. In the case of an outsourced service model, and depending on the level of hosted services they require, I will work with them to qualify different providers, and provide guidance on pricing and service level expectations. I am very familiar with the service provider market throughout the Americas region, be it wholesale or retail co-location, hosted or managed services or cloud services. I have worked throughout the world including all of Canada and the US, in addition to Mexico, Central and South America and parts of East Asia.
