Currently, I am working with DM Morris Ltd. in Wicklow, where I have gained 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment. My expertise includes extensive experience with financial software and tools for accounts preparation, financial projections, and analysis. I am proficient in several software packages, including Evolution MX, QuickBooks, Sage, Surf Accounts, Scion, and Thesaurus, and hold certifications in Financial Software and Advanced Excel. I am also skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite and have demonstrated flexibility and technical aptitude by quickly adapting to new systems in my current role. In my current position, I prepare financial and management reports, manage the Fixed Asset Register, PO system, Accounts Payable, VAT, bank reconciliations, and retention accounts, and assist with audit and payroll processes, among other tasks. This role has strengthened my ability to work effectively under strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities within a busy team. Prior to joining DM Morris Ltd, I worked at Wicklow & District Credit Union while completing my apprenticeship. Upon completion, I was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, where I was responsible for preparing management and financial accounts, investments, coordinating both internal and external audits, processing weekly payroll and bank reconciliations, and filing Revenue and Central Bank returns. During my tenure, we underwent a Central Bank-mandated audit conducted by Moore Ireland, which resulted in 40 recommendations for improvement. I played an active role in implementing these recommendations in collaboration with the team. My accounting qualifications have given me a solid foundation in general business practices, specifically in accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and financial markets. I am eager to further develop these skills and provide value in any position I take on.
