About Bernard Ng

A Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®/S) with more than 2 decades of industry experience, I work primarily with financial professionals, managers, expatriates, business owners and C-suite officers (PMEBCs) from diverse industries to protect, optimise and grow their wealth with an eventual goal to distribute their assets to their intended beneficiaries. In the area of corporate financial planning, i have worked with many business owners and firms from a very diverse range of industries ranging from insurance broking and IT to Oil & Gas (as well as “green energy” industry like wind farming) to review and enhance their employee benefits programmes as well as corporate insurance to optimise their financial resources; to be competitive in their staff benefits while meeting their legal and contractual obligations to their various stakeholders. A firm believer of education, I co-founded a Private Education Institution, Inspire® Education Centre, with like-minded friends which aims to impact young people positively in their academic achievements. Inspire Education Centre has helped many students improve their academic grades for more than a decade: the 2016 and 2019 H1 Economics JC Tuition classes and 2021 H1 Economics (10 months A level preparatory course for private candidates) that were taught by me achieved 100% A grades in the GCE A levels exams while the 2018 H2 Economics JC Tuition class that was taught by me achieved 100% A and B grades. In 2021, we have a straight As student from our fast track 10 months A level programme who has successfully been admitted as a medical student in a local university in Singapore. My belief in the importance of education went well beyond the academic aspect. I had served in the Executive Council of the Financial Planning of Singapore first as Chair of Public Education in late 2014 followed by a short stint as Honorary Treasurer in April 2016 and a concurrent full term as Co-Chair, Membership & Public Education from 2015-2017, leveraging on my network among the C-suite officers in the insurance industry to promote continuous financial education to staff and members of Financial Institutions while continuing to promote financial literacy to members of the public. In addition, I had also shared some practical financial tips with some of the officers from the Home Team as part of a series of public education talks organised by FPAS.
