About Bernard Rochette

Currently Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary, I previously held the role of Vice-President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel until 2023 with Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, where I have practiced law since 2009. My main responsibilities as Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary are to oversee the legal aspects of the company's governance and international network. I also handle a number of important legal files in collaboration with the Legal Affairs department, as well as files concerning corporate affairs. With several university degrees, including a bachelor's degree in law and a master's degree in business administration (MBA), I have a wealth of professional experience, particularly in commercial law, having worked as head of legal affairs for several major Quebec companies such as The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc. for nearly 10 years and Videotron Telecom Ltd. for 5 years. I have also been an accredited commercial mediator with the Quebec Bar since 2009. In 2024, I was accredited by the Quebec Bar as a commercial arbitrator. Although I continue to perform my duties at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, I now accept mandates to act as a commercial arbitrator and commercial mediator on a personal basis.
