About Bernd Mack

Started career after receiving degree in computer science in 1985. Spent four years as a software engineer developing fault-tolerant high-performance messaging applications for mainframe systems. After earning second degree in finance and economics in 1995 joined Deutsche Boerse Group beginning of 1996. Took on responsibilities for a number of large-scale infrastructure and market development projects for Deutsche Boerse Group and affiliated companies. Received Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation in 2005. Received teaching assignments at the Wiesbaden Business School lecturing courses in Market Microstructure and Financial Market Institutions since 2008. Received nomination as member of the Consultative Working Group (CWG) to the Secondary Market Standing Committee (SMSC) of ESMA in 2014. Current area of responsibility as Executive Director and Chief Strategy Advisor for the Trading & Clearing Division covers the strategic positioning and development of the different trading and clearing businesses of Deutsche Boerse Group. Acting in a dual capacity as Chief Strategy Advisor for Quantitative Brokers LLC, a provider of intelligent execution workflows and algorithms for Global Futures & Options, and US Cash Treasuries.
