About Bernice Maune

As an experienced Communications Aficionado and Content Strategist/Writer, I have a vast amount of knowledge in creating successful communication strategies. I specialize in creating captivating content that matches the goals of the organization, boosts employee engagement, and strengthens the brand identity. I am skilled at using different communication platforms to deliver powerful messages that connect with various audiences. By working with different teams and building relationships, I lead effective communication campaigns that enhance the brand's influence. I particularly love writing and telling stories that come alive through words. I hate selling myself. So here are five quick pointers about me and my work. Straight to the point, in and out - nobody gets hurt. 1) I've written stories and compiled content for some of South Africa and the globe's best-loved (publishing) brands. I have produced work for MTN Group in their internal communications unit, Huawei (Where I headed up the content division for the Sub Saharan cloud division), Reckitt & Benckiser, Idols TV Show, Times LIVE, The Citizen, The South African.com and Caxton Newspapers. Plus, I've won a couple of awards along this exciting journey, more about that in the accomplishments section! 2) I love all things digital and am active on all the networks though I'm yet to create a Tik Tok video. 3) I entered the world of digital uniquely (well at the time). I got recruited via Twitter direct message, showcased my portfolio in person and got hired the same day. 4) This is how I sum up my job. I help people connect with brands, organisations, events, products and humans through storytelling. This often takes the form of articles, white papers, social media updates and posts and case studies. I bridge the gap between imagination and reality. I strategise on content, build trust through said strategies and execute them with enthusiasm and a cup of hot tea by my side. 5) Sometime in 2018, I took a serious plunge and ventured off into studying Intercultural Management in France. I came back home with a Masters's Cum Laude degree and now moonlight as a diversity and inclusion consultant.
