About Bert Merkenhof

In addition to being a Phenolic Foam Expert and having a lot of experience with other insulation materials, I am a well orientated manager with large experience in production and project management with demonstrable commercial affinity. I am capable to achieve the company’s objectives within the agreed framework. I have good communication skills and I am an adequate interlocutor on all levels. My management style is to lead and guide my managers in such way that after a while they can work more independently and that they become more able to take good decisions. I delegate a lot, but when necessary I will work together with them to achieve the best possible result for the company. I am critical to my employees, I coach them, train them, but when necessary I will act! I work for results and I'm quite ambitious. Activities • I have introduced LEAN (WCM) techniques in the production. Because of LEAN the production efficiency has improved significantly. • As end responsible manager I erected a new building including equipment. I commissioned and started successfully the new production line in Tiel. The size of the project was 33 mln € and 75 m2. • In 2004 I erected a new warehouse in Dodewaard. Size of the project 4,5 mln € and m2. • I have actively worked on a take over a company in Belgium and integrated it in the existing company. • In I sold the technology of Sitek (PF boards) to a Japanese company Nittobo Boseki for their territory. • Since 2011 working for several international operating companies in the field of Phenolic Foam and production improvements Specialties: good communication and management skills also in terms of LEAN very good analytic ability both at production level and financial determined, decisive and result oriented practical attitude to find solutions a motivator who stands between his people and I have as starting point a win-win situation in mind
