About Bert Regeer

I am an experienced professional with deep expertise in communications and external relations, strengthened by an earlier career in journalism. I gained solid experience in a range of communication roles in Royal Dutch Shell plc; at asset, country, business and corporate level in one of the world’s largest energy enterprises. As a trusted advisor to executive leaders/CEO’s I have held a number of leadership positions on both business management teams and within the Communications function. I have proven experience in positioning of an organisation both internally and externally coupled with building and leading the execution of an integrated reputation management strategy and plan, geared towards improved business delivery. I have the capacity to combine strategy development with hands-on execution. I enjoy leading and coaching younger staff in their development phases. On a regular basis I give presentations on national and international conferences and events, sharing insights and experiences on reputation management in general as well as deeper insights in handling of complex issues, stakeholder engagement and crisis management. For several years I was a member to the Commission on Measurement and Evaluation of the Institute for Public Relations.
