About Bert van Luik

Multi-skilled with over 35 years of experience in many different areas of Industrial Automation and Robotic Material Handling Systems. My experiences have spanned across multiple disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Operation’s Management, Senior Project Management and Director of Projects and Applications. As Mechanical Designer and Project Manager, I have provided hands on design for material handling conveyor systems and robotic work cells, including 3rd party equipment supply and integration for stretch wrappers, barcode scanners and lasers, safety systems, etc. As Operation’s Manager, I have provided overall vision, development and implementation of operational procedures to govern internal “multi-disciplined” departments, including the creation of JHSC and a comprehensive company safety manual. As Senior Project Manager I have provided overall management / direction and implementation for all design aspects for multi-million dollar automation systems from original purchase order to customer system acceptance at site. As Director or Projects, I have provided direction and mentoring for the Project Management group, as well as performing duties as a management team member. Through all these experiences, I have built up strong skills as they relate to team leadership; organizational skills, interpersonal skills, presentations to stake holders, as well as written and verbal communications skills. Excellent working knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, Outlook, Word and other communications tools, such as Skype and GoToMeeting.
