About Bert Wouters

I want to take this opportunity to briefly give you a short introduction of my professional skills. I am an marine engineer with an extensive background in commissioning and construction projects that makes me believe that I can be a value-added force. With my more than 25 years of experience, and background as marine engineer I offer a career in leading and directing various technical projects and operations across broad disciplines, including turn-key projects erection and commissioning of production, marine- and power generation facilities. Among the projects I worked on as construction manager was the construction and delivery of two identical power generation modules, each housing two 16-cylinder Wärtsilä 50DF multi-fuel engines with generators, waste heat recovery units and all related fuel, oil and air and other utility systems for an FPSO build for Bumi Armada Kraken project My technical expertise includes doing audits of offshore production facilities which I did as a Marine warranty surveyor these among others covered the mechanical and electrical functionality of the offshore facilities. As operations manager I was involved in construction and repair of modular sections for offshore use. I have worked worldwide on a wide variety of projects starting from marine engineer, till recently mechanical section- and commissioning manager for Wartsila Energy solutions. I consider myself someone who is dedicated, self-motivated, and who possesses the detail-orientation and technical skills to excel in a fast-paced environment. In addition to experience, I possess significant knowledge of a wide variety of products, including engine powered generation sets, various types of compressors, exhaust-gas boilers commissioning of rotary equipment, marine audits, hydraulic systems and gas regulating units. My skill set also features the ability to organize projects with a number of participants and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team while sharing information that contributes to the project’s success. Through my experiences and educational background, I have acquired a drive for success, innovation, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly and apply that learning proactively. Equipped with sound judgment, interpersonal, and teamwork skills enhanced by my experience, I am confident that I can contribute significantly.
