About Bertil Johansen

LOOKING FOR INTERNSHIP I started my IT journey through my IT-Technology education, where I worked with network architecture, programming, and Linux/Windows system administration. While security wasn’t the main focus, this foundation gave me the technical skills that I now apply with a security mindset in my IT-Security studies. In IT-Security, I’m learning how to secure networks, harden systems, and identify vulnerabilities in the same technologies I previously worked with. My studies focus on offensive and defensive security, covering topics like penetration testing, network security, and governance. Through various projects, I have worked on vulnerability assessments and network hardening, often collaborating with classmates to solve security challenges. I enjoy breaking into systems, finding vulnerabilities, and securing them, but I also value the bigger picture of governance and compliance. I spend a lot of time working with Linux and programming, improving my skills through school projects and hands on challenges on TryHackMe. Outside of IT, I stay active by playing padel, squash and going to the gym. Right now, I am looking for an internship where I can apply my cybersecurity knowledge, gain hands on experience and continue learning. I am open to different areas within cybersecurity and eager to explore how I can contribute while developing my skills further.
