About Bertina Cannon

20+ years ago I began a career as an Administrative Assistant in a position as a Receptionist at the Knox County Juvenile Court. Being in that role I served as the initial contact person; be it a voice or face between the community and the Court as well as for the Judges. I then had the opportunity to serve in the same position as a Receptionist for TeamHealth. Within a ten-year time frame I grew by leaps and bounds, serving as Team Coordinator assisting a group of my peers with the facilitation of everything from recruiting and credentialing to scheduling emergency room providers. I eventually moved in to the role of Nurse Credentialer. I was very passionate about this opportunity. I had the pleasure of creating a process for credentialing nurses to obtain licensures in multiple states. This opportunity gave me a since of fulfillment and purpose. After that I was given an opportunity to serve 5 years in processing payroll for a staffing company. There I learned a tremendous amount about processing payroll. I am currently serving in a role as a Human Resources Assistant. I am the initial point of contact also assisting with the on-boarding process of employees to include anything from filtering thru resumes to verification of paperwork and/or employment. I’m proud to add that throughout my career I have been diligent, determined and dedicated in every role that I’ve served in. I have proven growth and as being a multifaceted professional. I am continually looking for ways to serve and grow while helping others.
