About Bertram Andersen

13 years of experience within procurement, sourcing and category management on operational, tactical and strategic levels. I have a natural curiosity and hunger for acquiring new knowledge - because of this my experience spans across three very different industries: Shipping, FMCG and Construction. Through my experience I have become skilled in understanding complex challenges / supply chains / value chains. This enables me to quickly identify where I can create value in a company. Negotiation is a natural part of my daily work - I have extensive experience with strategic partnerships and I am certified in SMARTnership negotiations. Additionally, I have conducted numerous RFx and e-auctions with more tactical or short-term end goal. My negotiations are always being conducted in a professional manner with a high level of integrity and a mutual respect between my suppliers and I. A crucial skill I bring to the table is my knack for building strong relations and understanding culture at all levels and on a global scale. I have been working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders from all over the world in the majority of my career. I have build a vast experience in creating value through establishing and implementing category strategies both on national and Nordic level. From solidifying and expanding our supplier base with a risk management perspective at Kemp & Lauritzen, to aggressive growth strategies as the one I did within Asian food concepts for Coop Trading on a Scandinavian level: This one led to the launch of 60+ new products in four countries, a new visual identity, a significant growth of the category and a savings though an increased spend at our key suppliers.
