Result- and practice-oriented expert in multi-stakeholder approaches to sustainable local economic development, with a particular focus on food security and the management of agricultural value chains, inclusive agribusiness (agricultural cooperatives, agri-food SMEs), natural resource management and land tenure security. Also acquired experience in action research, learning and monitoring-evaluation in these fields. An experienced advisor in local economic development, with a focus on the inclusion of disadvantaged social groups in the provision of agricultural services, enterprise development and institutions for the management of natural resources and rural land. Also worked on formulation, monitoring and evaluation systems, and programme and project review and evaluation. An experienced trainer-facilitator with intercultural communication skills holding a diploma in conflict mediation (2011). 36 years of experience, some of which was gained during long-term assignments in Mali and Benin. Working for KIT headquarters in Amsterdam as a researcher, trainer and consultant, and conducting short-term consultancy assignments, particularly in East, Central and West Africa.
