12 years post MSc experience teaching academic English at the university level, having broad experience in the design, development and assessment of curriculum, rubrics, tests, and materials for courses piloted, adapted, and created for on-going program development to meet students'/program’s changing needs. Currently working as a Senior Instructor/Oral Communications Coordinator in the Intensive English Program at the American University of Kuwait (AUK), a two level undergraduate preparatory program. In my classes I focus on personal/emotional growth, academic growth, and societal growth by emphasizing critical thinking, effective communication, personal responsibility, and study skills through the vehicle of language. Awarded The Most Supportive Faculty Award by The Student Government Association for my encouragement and support of AUK students and their endeavors (2008).
