About Beth Buchanan

I am a year three Interaction Design UU student currently on my placement year at Instil. I’m passionate about crafting digital experiences; I enjoy simplifying problems through the use of prototyping, ideating, iterating and testing, and have a love for creating clean, and intuitive interfaces.Throughout my year at Instil I’ve worked on a number of different projects, helping to build user friendly software, web presences, and branding. Within each project I have made use of and contributed to the creation of a design system, and communicated effectively with other designers as well as developers.Throughout my degree so far I have worked on creating Figma based prototypes, brand presences, mobile apps, and narrative websites. Last year I focused my attention in semester two on creating an app for dementia patients as well as caregivers. I did user research, interviews with caregivers, competitor research, and experimented with different UX techniques to ensure my app was well rounded and as focused on their unique needs as possible.
