She understands that building relationships between businesses and nonprofit organizations leads to real social change, and that the grassroots efforts of youth is as important as established major donors. Beth is currently the Senior Director of Philanthropy at Rainforest Trust, an international conservation organization. She manages corporate partnerships, working with companies of all sizes from around the world to help them create impact and then share that impact with their stakeholders. In this role, Beth helps companies implement strategies for supporting work that saves endangered species, prevents deforestation, and keeps carbon safely stored – helping to mitigate and slow climate change. She has also managed the major gifts and data services teams, accomplishing significant revenue growth during that period.Beth has raised millions of dollars for the organizations she has supported. Her skills include board development, financial development, strategic planning, presentation preparation, a successful capital campaign, budgeting, the development and maintenance of volunteer programs, planning and implementing special events and conferences across the country, designing training and development courses for employees and more.In addition to her other nonprofit experience, Beth held integral roles during a 21-year-career with the American Red Cross. She was responsible for recruitment and retention of paid and volunteer staff, sales, and marketing activities that brought in revenue to support the organization’s multiple community programs. At the national headquarters in Washington, she supported chapters in seven states with business and capacity development. Beth mentored sales and fundraising teams, developed national sales and marketing workshops to help staff reach revenue goals, worked with chapters to increase their fundraising efforts, developed and implemented a staff training system, and helped redesign the national accounts program.
