About Beth Checkovich

I have been a classroom teacher for 33 years. During this time, I prepared lessons that included computer graphics, presentations, worksheets, tests, quizzes, and games. I coordinated the state curriculum requirements with the county curriculum requirements to make sure that all the content was adequately covered in the course of a year. I researched information to make certain the most up-to-date information was included in the lessons being taught. In addition to lesson planning, student scores on assessments had to be analyzed in order to determine where strengths and weaknesses existed and where reteaching needed to occur. Prior to teaching, I was a secretary for over 5 years. I have edited numerous papers for both students and adults. I have expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and have prepared units using online learning software such as Blackboard.
