About Beth Coffey
I have been a teacher for more than 30 years. I have worked in the inner-city school system in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have taught kindergarten and second grade. For the past 5 years, I have worked as a Literacy Coach for kindergarten through sixth grade. Eleven years ago I also added teaching adults to my resume. In addition to Indianapolis Public Schools, I taught for Performance Learning Systems. I taught classes that are used for license renewal so that teachers can renew their license. I have found that I really enjoy doing that, however this position has ended due to the fact that Indiana has moved to a point system for renewal and the courses are not as popular. I would love to move into the field of consulting.traveling and working with teachers in areas for improvement. I am also very interested in working in an Education Department at the university level working with prospective teachers.
