About Beth Cooney

As a clinical social worker, I have worked with youth for the last 25 years in mental health clinics, at LSU Health Science Center as a case manager and primarily in schools as a school counselor, school liaison and facilitator of trauma focused interventions. Now I supervise clinicians implementing trauma focused early interventions in New Orleans. I am a trainer for CBITS and Bounce Back and have trained in areas affected by hurricanes, mass violence and wild fires. I am also a Co-Chair for the Schools Committee with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
