What drew me to Occupational Therapy and continues to excite me every day in my career, is the foundational philosophy that what we do can heal us, from having hobbies to getting dressed. Even the little things we do daily hold so much meaning. Sometimes they’re a tool for therapy and sometimes it’s about finding ways to make those activities possible again. Whether I’m involved with clients with mental health difficulties like PTSD, assessing and treating workplace or motor vehicle injuries, or helping someone after a stroke, this philosophy is behind everything.
