About Beth Hammond

After graduating from The University of MO-St. Louis I obtained an entry level position at a residential facility as a social work assistant. I then moved on to a position with the state investigating abuse, neglect, and exploitation of disabled adults & elderly citizens. After leaving this position I changed direction in my career and worked as a law clerk, then as an independent contractor for Fusion Logistics with whom I was contracted with Pitney Bowes. When the contract for the St. Louis Region was not renewed, I got back into the social service field as a medical care coordinator & then a community support specialist. While on maternity leave I realized that my interest was predominantly in the clinical aspect of my previous positions. I began a six month Medical Assistant program at St. Louis Community College where I attended class half of the time and clinical the other half of the time. I will be moving forward with an RN to BSN bridge program as a part-time student as well to even further my career in the health care field. My history has given me experience in not only social service, but also customer service, administration, medical records, charting, documentation, and more.
