About Beth Huffer
I am the founder and President of Lingua Logica, and a philosopher and lover of logic, semantics, ontology and data. I have been working in the semantic technology field since 1998, when I joined the Cyc Project in Austin, Texas. I have worked on knowledge representation, formal logic modeling, and implementation of semantic technologies for U.S. Government agencies including the FAA, DOD, DHS, NASA, and in the private and academic sectors at Cyc, HIGHFLEET, Microsoft, and the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. Lingua Logica provides customized solutions to data and knowledge management problems. We are currently working with NASA in a project aimed at managing large scientific data sets in support of large-scale analytics. We specialize in semantic analysis, data federation and semantic mediation, enterprise ontology development, information systems engineering and implementation, semantic web services, and data discovery tools.
