About Beth Knoedelseder

After 30 years of being an educator, I have decided to retire. I am excited to embark on new adventures that still tie into education, and reflect on the things I love to do. One of my passions is teaching teachers how to engage students by targeting the learning styles of the teachers and students. My teaching style has often been seen as inspirational and motivating to other teachers. I believe by teaching the whole child, all children can learn. I am passionate about keeping learning fun and exciting but at the same time challenging. Getting students engaged in learning is one of my specialties. Outdoor education is very important and is an opportunity to reach those children who love nature. I have chaired outdoor classroom committees and have planned and created various gardens for grade levels K-6. I am also the author of outdoor classroom lessons for the integration of all subject areas. Along with being passionate about outdoor education, I also enjoy poetry. Teaching through poetry is very powerful, and students have a natural connection to it. I love how there are so many poets who have written poems that reach across all curriculum areas. The storytellings that I perform are written using poetry and songs. I have conducted workshops on the following topics: Poetry, Best Practices, Teaching Different Learning Styles, Storytelling, and Using Technology to Engage Students.
