About Beth Kosc

My vast array of experience has spanned many years from growing up in my small, family-run business to utilizing my college degree in multiple functions in the professional marketplace. This has instilled in me a passion and understanding of business functions, customer service, the importance of hard work and the understanding and implementation that work may not necessarily end at 5:00pm. Wanting to turn my interest and enthusiasm into a career made it an easy decision to pursue a business degree. I attended Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI where I was awarded the prestigious Lettinga Charter Campus Scholarship (the highest scholarship offered at that time) which provided my tuition and fees to be paid in full for my Bachelor’s degree. DU provided an outstanding education in various functions that must all work and blend together to form a well-rounded individual. Customer service, general knowledge of financial principles, thinking outside the box, leadership skills, taking direction and constructive criticism, working as a team and independently are traits I either learned about or was able to strengthen to become a competent team member. I was able to utilize my proofreading skills on multiple levels. I assisted classmates, DU's creative and literary arts journal and was personally asked by my English professor to proofread a paper she wrote for her doctoral program. I was most recently the Administrative Assistant to the General Manager of a private country club in northern Michigan for 12 years. Year over year, I would receive greater tasks and responsibilities. I truly thrived every day knowing that my daily contributions made an impact. No two days were exactly the same and my strong background allowed me to seamlessly transition among multiple tasks and requests from the Board of Directors, Department Heads, management and staff and provided exceptional customer service to the members of the club. 2020 had been a year of change, and I look forward to see where my skills and talents lead me into my next career.* Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse populations * Analytical thinker with ability to solve problems quickly * Multi-tasker who can determine tasks by importance of completion needs * Proofreading and editing skills * Type 50 WPM, KPH, and 10-key by touch * Ability to work with cross-functional departments and customers effectively * Self-motivated with ability to multitask * Strong time management skills * Successfully complete work with no supervision
