About Beth Lapides

As a comedian, author, speaker, and creative coach, I’ve spent my career helping stories—and the people behind them—come fully to life. I’m best known as the creator and host of UnCabaret, the legendary live show that helped define the alternative comedy movement. Called “nothing’s cooler” by Vanity Fair and featured on Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, NPR, PBS, and The New York Times, UnCabaret has welcomed groundbreaking artists like Bob Odenkirk, Margaret Cho, Alex Edelman, Maria Bamford, and many more. I’m also the author of the original Audible audiobook So You Need To Decide—named one of Vulture’s Best Comedy Books of 2022. Blending personal storytelling and soulful advice, the book features conversations with creatives like Phoebe Bridgers, Isaac Mizrahi, and Bob Odenkirk. Variety called it “a potentially life-changing treasure.” My work spans stage, page, screen, and studio—from live solo shows and podcasts to scripted TV and cultural commentary. I’ve appeared on Sex and the City, contributed to NPR and Comedy Central, and built platforms that merge comedy, spirit, and creative insight. In addition to my own creative work, I help writers, performers, artists, musicians, and C-suite executives bring their visions to life through my coaching program The Infinite Creator. Built from decades of experience in comedy, storytelling, and creative innovation, it’s a system for turning ideas into finished work—and getting that work into the world. Whether you’re looking for a keynote speaker, a creativity guide, or a collaborator who knows how to build something extraordinary out of “It’s A Lot,” I’d love to connect.
