About Beth Lefever

I have over 10 years of experience leading, managing, orchestrating, and building college scholarship and financial aid programs. I use a collaborative approach in working with faculty, volunteers, alumni, staff, direct reports, donors and other stakeholders to design and develop programs and recruit applicants. Mentoring and training evaluators, as well as managing the evaluation process and scholarship recipient selection for top college students are part of the work I have done. I can work autonomously, as part of a team and leading and mentoring others. I am recognized for demonstrating effective leadership skills, building diversity, bringing a strategic orientation to my work, and creative problem solving. As a result, the programs I have designed and led have had a positive impact on the stakeholder groups with which I have worked. In addition to the leadership experience from scholarship and financial aid environments, I bring to this work the leadership orientation I gained through my background in choral music. Besides having two degrees in vocal performance, I have performed as a soloist and in choirs in the US and Europe. I have also directed choirs. Pulling together many different voices into a harmonious performance has given me the self-discipline, self-motivation, leadership, and collaborative skills with which I have pursued my career in higher education programs.
