About Beth Maidment

I am deeply passionate about of books, reading them, writing them, analysing them, editing them: everything!I was selected to be a part of Pan Macmillan's Secret Life of Books Mentorship in which I received 13 weeks of learning about publishing, a programme that I am so grateful for as it gave me such knowledge of a traditional publishing house.I am a Master's graduate in Creative Writing with Merit from Newcastle University. I learned so many valuable skills like editing, proofreading with precision, and how time get involved with the local writing scene.I also graduated with first-class honours in BA English with Study in North America at the University of Exeter (with study abroad at Purdue University). At each stage of my degree, I took a creative writing module, which led me to realise how much I truly love writing and how I wanted to make it my career. The ins and outs of writing, editing, and publishing are all extremely fascinating to me and I am keen to know more and to learn more.
