As a resourceful and insightful editor, customer service professional, and blogger, I make information more accessible to people. I edit content to ensure accuracy and increase clarity, making it easier for readers to learn. My website tells stories about travel and sustainability, and my work at the library helped patrons access information on the Internet and find enjoyable books and movies. Making information accessible involves paying attention to detail, checking facts, and being comfortable with technology. Editing, in particular, requires integrity, kindness, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to put the client first. I’ve been privileged to help authors polish their books so that their stories were as clear and engaging as possible. After editing remotely for some years, I wanted to get out of the house and serve the public, and working at a library seemed like a good way to do that. I enjoyed exploring library resources with patrons and learning alongside them. During the several years I worked at a library, I also managed a variable freelance schedule, collaborating with library team members, production editors, and individual authors to get work done in both arenas. Now I am seeking an administrative position supporting an office or a program while I pursue my passion for sustainability by caring for one of Denver Urban Gardens's new food forests.
