About Beth Settje

With 30+ years in higher education and 20+ in career development, I'm dedicated to guiding students on their career journeys. I blend challenge and support to empower students, fostering their growth towards successful careers and graduate studies. A versatile professional, I excel in transactional tasks such as resume development, cover letter critiques, and personal statement reviews, as well as helping students prepare for interviews, internships, and career transitions. Within my work at the University of Connecticut, I oversee our Senior Year Experience Program, a career readiness and life skills course. A favorite aspect of my role in this field is connecting with students, staff, faculty, and employers, to help them achieve their goals. Actively engaged in professional associations, I contribute through committees, presentations, and published articles. Interacting with others throughout the university, state, country, and internationally provides me with new perspectives on a regular basis.As a consultant and mentor, I'm here to answer questions, offer advice, and connect.
