About Beth Smith

Strategy and Research Consultant with extensive experience of working with clients in the public and private sector to improve operational performance, strategy and planning. I offer consulting and training on subjects including complexity science, knowledge management, organisational development, monitoring and evaluation, citizen and stakeholder engagement, planning and strategy. At the core of all of my work is my passion to develop inclusive approaches to policy, strategy, decision making. I bring my expertise of 8+ years of managerial and technical in-field experience using mixed-methods research, data science and stakeholder engagement. Further backed by Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in the fields of public services and strategic partnerships, as well as further Post-Grad study in mixed-method research methodology from Oxford university. Being a keen supporter of sustainable development and inclusive decision making, I have shifted the main focus of my work on the use and development of SenseMaker ® research and decision support software to develop rigorous approaches to participation. I help organisations to integrate research, narrative data, complexity science and mixed methods to develop innovative and sustainable working strategies.I am particularly passionate about building inclusive policies and working towards the sustainable development goals by bringing organisations and stakeholders together.
