About Beth Sullivan

Joining Aetna in 1995, Beth has spent the past 26+ years involved in the design strategy and trends impacting Aetna’s largest customers across the country. She is most proud, however, of being one of the founders of Aetna’s Healthcare Business Solutions (HBS) division in 2009. We believe experience matters, which is why we formed our HBS team 13 years ago. Doctors, nurses, and clinicians work tirelessly on the front lines. Now more than ever their jobs are both physically and emotionally challenging. With higher-than-average utilization and opportunities for greater care alignment in mind, we created a dedicated unit whose sole focus is to help our health care plan sponsors address the unique challenges of their workforce. Beth is our national lead strategist working directly with hospital systems, provider groups and healthcare constituents on network optimization and well-being solutions. Her expertise focuses on domestic steerage, care collaboration, and the development of reporting in support of population health management. She is passionate about data driven strategies. The HBS team has grown to over 1.6 million medical members as of January 1, 2022. Our benchmarking data gives us insight into what matters most to our healthcare customers – designing customized solutions that support taking care of caregivers, so they can continue to take of others.
