About Beth Thiele

My education and experience contribute to adaptability and professional acumen and I believe one should never consider themselves to be finished with their learning. This is one pursuit I hope to encourage in others as I continue my own development. I am experienced in research design & methods, data collection, analysis, and reporting examinations of organizational systems, human behavior and physiology. As a graduate student at NMU, I conducted research and provided materials to the University's JED Campus Oversight Team, assisting in the implementation of future student centered programs. I have background in training undergraduate students in research procedures and have presented in several topics. My most recent project is an educational module on the topic of mental health to be delivered to subscribers of the Northern Michigan University Education Access Network. Verbal and written communication skills are among my strengths, including public speaking and performance. Additional skills include time management and organization, interpersonal dexterity, identifying problems and critical thinking toward solutions. I have secure understanding of operational logistics as well as behavioral mechanisms and variables that influence motivation, and how these interrelated factors can be differentially affected. I am expressive and enjoy opportunities to share ideas, learn from others, and collaborate on projects. I also welcome the satisfaction of working independently. A versatile professional and lifetime learner, I seek the opportunity to use natural skills and those acquired by education and life experience to offer expertise through service within a stable agency. I aspire to pursue a Ph.D. in the future but have no specific plans at this time.
