About Beth Veitch

Driven by a love of learning, passion for arts, a care for people and providing ways to wellbeing, Beth is an ambitious and dedicated individual embarking upon a portfolio career across people focused arts, culture and community engagement. Her passion is rooted in contemporary dance, having previously worked as a freelance dancer, performing and touring works internationally by choreographers such as José Agudo, Renaud Wiser, Malgorzata Dzierzon, Gary Clarke, Didy Veldman, Malgorzata Dzierzon, Liz Aggiss and Anthony Missen. She has an accessible, inclusive arts facilitation practice and teaches in a range of settings with a focus engaging older adults with dance. Beth works under the name Beth Veitch Dance, creating and co-producing community focused, choreographic touring work and prioritising employment for early career, North East based dance artists to increase engagement and development in the region. Her previous work has been supported with public funding by Arts Council England, Community Foundation and local arts commissions. Her style of work blends music as performance with movement and plays with bodies as architecture while remaining nuanced and playful.Beth has also worked in administration, events, leadership and operational roles, supporting the delivery of educational and charitable arts programmes, motivating and leading dynamic teams and supporting pivotal cultural organisations. She particularly thrives in dynamic, people focused environments and has a positive, organised, problem solver and proactive approach to working.Beth has a particular interest in health, well-being and people focused working practice. She holds Level 3 Mental Health First Aid and has volunteered both as a Crisis Volunteer for Shout text line and as a Key Worker for the mental health charity, usActive. Beth also holds Level 2 Safeguarding and Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work.
