About Beth Zarret

WHO I AM I am an educator, writer, program leader, and advocate for community well-being. I thrive in dynamic environments where creative idea generation turns into action and people are empowered to contribute in ways that align with their strengths and passions. Moreover, I am passionate about building connections, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating virtual and physical spaces where people feel heard, valued, and supported. WHAT I DO BEST I cultivate positive environments through programs, storytelling, and thoughtful collaboration. I lead and train teams with compassion and clarity, and I design meaningful and accessible engagement activities. One of my proudest accomplishments is developing and leading ETS’s biannual Step Challenge, a culture-shaping initiative that brought together over 180 employees nationwide for wellness, community service, and shared experience. I also facilitate improv-based workshops that help professionals and educators improve communication, manage uncertainty, and practice empathy in real-world situations because I believe soft skills are power skills. WHAT I BRING I bring a unique blend of expertise in education, journalism, program development, and engagement strategy, rooted in empathy, creativity, and lifelong learning. Additionally, my work spans from classrooms to corporate settings, from published storytelling to service leadership. WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT I lead with humanity and joy. I don’t just complete tasks, I build systems that last and experiences that matter. I see potential in people and programs, even when things are uncertain. Whether I’m helping someone find their voice in a workshop or writing a story that brings awareness to an overlooked issue, I’m always working to lift others and bring the big picture into focus. MY PASSIONS I’m passionate about building community, promoting inclusion, and creating meaningful connections. I love discovering and telling stories that highlight local culture, resilience, and creativity. My creative nonfiction piece, “The Bottle Garden,” will be featured in a forthcoming book to raise funds for the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury, and is an example of how I use storytelling to serve and give back. I also enjoy volunteering, organizing neighborhood events, and finding new ways to spark joy, reflection, and collaboration in the spaces I’m part of.
