About Bethan Thomas

As a Commerce Co-op student at Dalhousie University, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance, minor in Sustainability and a certificate in Interdisciplinary Management. I have a strong interest in learning how Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and sustainable practices, can be incorporated to help mitigate risk in companies and achieve sustainable growth. I have demonstrated my commitment to sustainability through my academic and extracurricular achievements. I received a senior award for excellence in Environmental Studies with a 99% overall grade, and I have worked on various projects that promote sustainable practices and address sustainability issues. I am passionate about helping companies integrate CSR and ESG practices into their business strategies and operations, and balance financial growth and environmental protection. I have developed skills and knowledge in sustainability and climate risk management, stakeholder engagement, ethical decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I believe that by aligning business goals with sustainability objectives, companies can make meaningful progress for themselves and for a more equitable world.
