About Bethany Brown

I am a paralegal with expertise in Massachusetts and federal disability discrimination law including the Massachusetts Public Accommodations Act, 151B (discrimination in employment, housing, lending and union activity), Open Meeting Law (related to need to accommodate people with disabilities), Dover Amendment, Architectural Access Board regulations, the Fair Housing Amendments Act, Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Article CXIV of the Massachusetts Deceleration of Rights, the Massachusetts Equal Rights Act. As part of the Attorney Generals Civil Rights team I have assisted in several cases regarding technology access for people with disabilities, accessibility of buildings, service animal cases and fair housing cases. I have assisted in drafting advisories on disability law. I am a recipient of the Attorney General James Shannon Award Award for Excellence. Over my career in disability rights I have cultivated expertise in disability rights law in the Commonwealth and deep understanding of Massachusetts government. I love learning about the law, sharing what I know and contributing to the team.
