About Bethany Edwards

As a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, I am studying on a Doctorate course at the University of East London. My placements so far have included: one year with Hillingdon Community Mental Health Team; six months with Hammersmith and Fulham Specialist Older Adult Mental Health Service; six months with Brookside Children and Young People Inpatient and Home Treatment Team; six months with Hammersmith and Fulham Early Intervention in Psychosis Service; and the final six months with the Brandon Centre.I am also a qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist with full BABCP accreditation. At Brent and Harrow Talking Therapies, I delivered cognitive behavioural assessments and interventions to adults with a variety of mental health difficulties.Having worked as an Assistant Psychologist in a Community Mental Health Team, I have experience providing formulations and therapy for adults and older adults with complex and enduring needs.I am also a qualified person-centred counsellor, having achieved the MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Distinction. At the What Centre, I was employed under Children in Need to conduct time-limited therapeutic sessions with children and young people (aged 11-25).I was also a Research Associate on the UniVRse Project at the University of Westminster, alongside the Lead Researcher Dr Cassie Hazell. I have a first-class honours degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Durham University.
