About Bethany Espeseth

Bethany Espeseth is a seasoned Finance Executive with over 17 years of leadership experience working in complex financial environments. Her roles including valuation modeling, systems implementation, complex transactions, Sox and GAAP compliance, forecasting strategic planning and optimizing operational and financial performance. Bethany is an insightful executive with expertise in building and developing teams and processes from the ground up. She has worked with many successful start-up companies building attractive financial infrastructures for high-value acquisition. Industries have included telecom, technology, media and entertainment, and consumer goods. Previously, Bethany was SVP, Finance and Operations at Beatport, the largest online electronic dance music marketplace with offices in Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Amsterdam and Berlin. In 2013, SFX Entertainment acquired Beatport to be one of it’s strategic anchors. She played a key role in the due diligence process and the post-acquisition integration, IPO process in 2014 and bankruptcy proceedings in 2016, for the purpose of being taken over by a more financially stable investment group. Bethany has also worked for I-Behavior as Corporate Controller and played a critical leadership role in the 2010 sale of aCerno, I-Behavior’s wholly owned subsidiary, to Akamai Technologies. She was also instrumental in the 2012 sale of I-Behavior to WPP, a multinational advertising and public relations company based in London. Other companies Bethany has worked for include IZZE Beverage as its Controller, which was acquired by Pepsi Cola North America, Webroot as their Assistant Controller and Wall Street on Demand, which included multiple business combinations by Reuters, Venture Capitalists, Goldman Sachs and ultimately Markit Ltd. Bethany began her career in at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in advisory specializing in start-up companies and business combinations.
