Background
About Bethany MacKey
I am a Senior Lecturer in Creative Technology at UWE teaching primarily on the BSc Games Technology programme. My expertise lies around diversity and accessibility in the games industry and I have taken part in workshops and events with the goal of diversifying the industry; I also teach this subject as part of the degree programme. My other interests are group management, gameplay development, and virtual reality. I have recently gained a PhD in Robotics and Autonomous Systems where my research surrounded using virtual reality and humanoid robots in assistive technologies, with a focus on improving quality of life for those with life-limiting illnesses.
